Hi everybody and welcome to part 8 of Break Through Chinese Pronunciation.

In this video we’re looking at the -uang sound in Pinyin. If you were reading this as an English word, you might expect it to be pronounced -uang, but it’s actually -u ah ng, more of a nasal sound. Repeat after the sounds in the video to hear the most accurate representation.

Guang – 光线 guāngxiàn – light
Kuang – 疯狂 fēngkuáng – crazy
Huang – 黄色 huángsè – yellow
Zhuang – 服装 fúzhuāng – clothing
